I will start by saying this: Retail Forex traders have a very small success rate in general. As little as 10-20% of retail traders are profitable. Compare this with the TDMarkets statistics where you see 80-90% of traders making money every week and you have to ask "Why are the TDMarkets traders doing so much better than the traders at other brokers" We believe it is because of the unique advantages that TDMarkets offer traders and especially beginners.
Advantage 1 - Lot size (volume) is completely flexible and you can gointo a trade at 1cent per pip (nano lot) when other brokers have a minimum of 10 cents or even $1 per trade. To go from trading demo to trading real money is hard enough but if it is big money then your emotions will get the better of you. At TDMarkets beginners transition from trading on demo to trading with 1 cent per pip on real money accounts given to them for FREE by TDMarkets so the emotions of Fear and Greed are suppressed. When you can do it with cents it is time to move up and most brokers have about 5 or 10 different accounts becase of the limitations on these accounts. Not with the TDMarkets Smart Account. The Smart Account can do everything the other accounts can, and more. Much much more and when you open it you will find that it already contains cash for you to trade so no need for you to risk any of your money. You can trade the TDMarkets accounts and keep half of the profits.
This answer hasn't even touched the tip of the iceberg when it comes to advantages so I look forward to some input by others here. Thx

Functionality - Personally not much of a difference, they do offer the standard mt4 platform every other broker offers
Account types - Right now they offer a smart account which is perfectly suitable for the retail fx broker with a contract size of 10 000, thus one can open more lots with less margin
Freedom to trade - TD Markets accepts all types of traders from scalpers to long term traders, even hedge traders, other brokers eg markets.com don't allow traders to hedge their positions
User interface - The user interface on the client portal is clean and easy to browse through however the user interface on the MT4 platform is almost the same with any other broker
